The latest sensational controversy in Kollywood is about the 'Beep Song'. It was Simbu
yet again who has landed in trouble for the derogatory words used in the song. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song has apparently leaked online without the knowledge of him, and has gone viral.
Now, All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has filed a case with Coimbatore Police against Simbu and Anirudh for making sexist remarks against women. AIDWA claims that this song will add fuel to the crimes and attacks against women.As per the report, Simbu and Anirudh were booked under Sections IV, read with VI, of the Indecent Representation of Women Act; 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman) of the IPC; and 67 (punishment for publishing or obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act.
